{.frog in a well.}

I was walking Soufflé this morning and listening to this TED presentation on my KAP (my kick-arse-podster).  The underlying message rings terribly similar to Freakonomics (which in all frankness I was never a big fan of anyway).  But I found myself strangely drawn to this particular presentation.

I love how he ends the presentation by saying that the human mind is designed to act and react as if we still live in a small world for a short time with people who are not so dissimilar.  I am reminded of the Chinese parable about a frog in a well.  A frog who lives in a well believes himself to be the best and most able being in this world.  He has never left the well.
